My Nigerian Tailor Experience

Hi guys,
Its been a minute since you heard from me, and I'm really sorry about that, I am back now and not going anywhere this time.

         I want to share my experience with a Nigerian tailor.
Mohammed is the guys name, I met him through someone in my office and apparently it was my first time of giving him my cloth to sew.
A friend invited me for a wedding and I thought as a typical girl that I am I needed to SLAY HARD for the wedding๐Ÿ˜‰. So I got a material and called the tailor my colleague introduced me to a week before the wedding and gave him the material with a part payment. Lo and Behold My tailor did not bring my cloth the day i was supposed to get it, he promised to bring it the day I was to travel for the wedding which seemed very impossible to me but you know I still believed in him.
on that Friday morning i called so many times the guy didn't answer my calls. Eventually the guy replied me with a text message explaining how he was in a police custody, that he was arrested the night before for no genuine reason and that he already called his brother to come bail him out.
I knew his story was just really funny but i still decided to trust that I'd still get my cloth that day. After a long wait and I noticed that I was not going to get my clothe back from Mohammed that day, I decided to go for option B.
All through the weekend I neither got any text messages nor calls from Oga Mohammed o, this really got me angry, I picked up my phone and called him but he didn't answer so I sent him a very angry text๐Ÿ˜…, still no response from him
           The Monday after the weekend, Mohammed came to my office with no apologies or explanation, he asked for my Bust measurement(meaning he didn't even make the dress in the first place)๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ™†I was so pissed like who does this ever.
After so much fronting, I still allowed him take the measurement, but Mohammed still didn't bring my cloth even after a week.
           After so much calls he decided to bring it at his own time. I didn't bother trying the cloth on or saying anything because it was pointless. When I got home that evening, I tried on the clothe and sadly the clothe didn't fit. It was too small, shorter than what I told him to make, he didn't get the style I told him to sew. The cloth was just a waste. to my surprise Mohammed called me to ask for the balance of his money, immediately, I told him to forget his money because the cloth is a total waste. Guys don't let me bore you further with my story but the story continues sha.

What this Experience has taught me;
1. Never ever ever attempt to give a tailor you are trying for the first time an important material(cloth) to sew for you.
2. Never pay them in full. give them the part payment then when you are satisfied with the outcome you can pay the rest.
3. Always have an option B when it comes to Nigerian tailors because anything can happen.
          Yeah guys, thanks for reading up to this level. Don't forget to drop your comments, share your experience with a tailor if you have one and please share this post with friends to share with other friends.
Adios amigos ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜
